After a Japanese granite original of ca. 1920, this figure represents the "Onegai Jizo", or "gift-giving" monk, set on a circular lotus-flower base. Usually pictured with a staff in one hand and a wish-granting jewel in the other, he would be poised to relieve our worldly sufferings. Dimensions: 53" high, 21" overall width of base.
