Orient takes us back in time to this romantic and historical era, when travel to exotic locales was not particularly easy, yet regarded as a must for socialites and artists seeking discovery and wonderment. Extensively detailed fretwork and latticework define the Chinese pattern that is the dominant characteristic of Chinese Chippendale design. The framework of Orient is uniquely crafted of powder-coated aluminum cast from real bamboo and then formed and recast to create an authentic design aesthetic with a tortoise shell finish. |
